Saint Mary of the Snows Parish, 1630 Ashland Road, Mansfield, will host a “Families Fully Alive” World Meeting of Families event for the Saint Juan Diego Deanery of the Diocese of Toledo at 7 p.m. Oct. 14.

The event will feature a presentation from the Frizzel-Lust Family of Bucyrus, who attended the Diocese of Toledo-led eight-day pilgrimage to Philadelphia for the World Meeting of Families and Papal Visit.

“It was an unbelievable trip.” Annie Lust said. “We got to see the pope a couple of times. The crowd was unlike any I have experienced before. They were kind, generous and happy. There were people from all over the world there.”

She said it was amazing to be around so many faith-filled people and to see the Holy Father.

“There was so much excitement in the air.” Lust said. “We waited three hours to see him pass by in the popemobile. He radiates so much love you can feel that in the crowd.”

The master of ceremonies for the Mansfield event will be renowned Catholic author and speaker Dr. John Wood.

Parishes in the Saint Juan Diego Deanery include Holy Trinity, Bucyrus; Most Pure Heart of Mary, Shelby; Resurrection, Lexington; Sacred Heart of Jesus, Bethlehem; Saint Bernard, New Washington; Saint Francis Xavier, Willard; Saint Joseph, Crestline; Saint Joseph, Galion; Saint Joseph, Plymouth; Saint Mary of the Snows, Mansfield; and Saint Peter, Mansfield.
