Hall of Fame dinner, induction set for Galion Schools

The Galion Schools Hall of Fame dinner and induction is set for Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Galion Middle School. Cost for this event is $35. Reservations can be made by calling the Galion Board of Education office at 419-468-3432. Reservations will be accepted until October 1, 2015. This event is open to the community and is not limited to Galion schools alumni.

The meal is being prepared by the culinary staff of the Galion Community Hospital and will offer a beef or chicken selection. Be sure to make your choice when placing your reservation.

This year’s honorees include Gary Frankhouse, John Williams, Robert W. Morgan, Scott Reynolds, Shawn Mateer, Stanley Grogg, and Dave Spraw. These individuals were chosen because of their accomplishments in their fields and their contributions to their communities.

The Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction are part of the Connections Weekend. Connections Weekend is an event to bring together graduates, students, and the community to celebrate the schools and our community. Other events for this weekend will include a pep rally/bonfire on Thursday, the 40th appearance of the Galion Alumni Band at the football game on Friday, the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast on Saturday morning and the Dinner and Induction on Saturday night.
