Ontario United Methodist Church sermon series

Rev. Peg Welch of the Ontario United Methodist Church will be doing a sermon series during the month of September on the arts in worship.

Evangelist coming to area

The Seventh-day Adventist Church will be holding a seminar series “A Revelation of Hope – Finding Peace When the World is Falling Apart.” The featured speaker will be Eric Flickinger, a television evaneglist from the show “It Is Written.”

The meetings will be held Sept. 18-22 and Sept 24-26 at Polk Township Hall, 7680 State Route 309 in Galion. Child care will be provided.

St. Joseph Catholic Church Chicken Barbecue Sept. 12

A Chicken Barbecue will be held 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 12 at St. Joseph Activity Center.

Ontario United Methodist Church service Sept. 13

The Ontario United Methodist Church will host a potter at their 10:15 service for the second sermon in the series of “The Arts in Worship.”

Chili supper Sept. 18

St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Robinson will have a chili supper from 4-7 p.m. Sept. 18 before the Col. Crawford-Seneca East football game.

Calvary United Church of Christ pet blessing Sept. 20

Calvary United Church of Christ at 511 Heiser Ct., Crestline will be hosting a pet blessing 11:30 a.m. Sept. 20. Cats should be brought in portable kennels and all dogs should be on leases. Children may bring their livestock animals or stuffed ones if they so choose. Each pet will be individually blessed by the pastor, Rev. Gary Proietti. Call 419-683-2745.

Free community meal Sept. 24

Trinity Lutheran Church, 291 N. Union St., Galion will serve its free community meal 5-6 p.m. Sept. 24.

Community outreach dinner Sept. 30

St. Paul United Methodist Church, 746 Cherry St., Galion, will hold a community outreach dinner 4:30 p.m. Sept. 30.
