Galion City Schools’ Hall of Fame induction program is Oct. 13

GALION — The Galion City School District will have its annual Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction on Ceremony Saturday, Oct. 13, as part of Connections Weekend 2018. The program will take place at the Galion Middle School, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Individuals being inducted into the Hall of Fame include: Horace Freese (industrialist/philanthropist), Michael Jokerst (Class of 1975), Paul Kim (Class of 1979), Mark Stepro (Class of 2000), John Swain (Class of 1955, posthumously), Van Wagner (Class of 1979) and George Guins (educator/coach).

Tickets for the evening are $35 and can be ordered by completing and mailing in a dinner order form, or by making a reservation by calling 419-468-3432. All reservations and completed dinner forms should be mailed to Galion Board of Education, 470 Portland Way North, Galion, OH 44833 by Friday, Oct. 5. Checks can be made payable to the Galion Community Foundation prior to — or the evening of — the dinner.

The dinner for the evening will be catered by Avita Health System and served by Galion Middle School students. This year’s menu offers a choice of either chicken or beef dinners. Guests requiring special meal arrangements should make their needs known when reserving tickets for the evening’s festivities.
