Schools out this week for Galion students, but lots to do at Galion library

GALION A make-it-take-it craft program for kids is planned March 26-30 at Galion Public Library. Come in any time during library hours to take part. No registration is required.

Come to the library at 2 p.m. March 31 to watch “Ferdinand” on the library’s big screen. Bring a pillow and blanket and get comfortable. All ages welcome, but children younger than 8 must be with an adult. No registration is required.

A Family Movie Night is planned from 5-6:45 on April 12. Come in and watch “The Greatest Showman.” Popcorn and drinks will be provided. All ages welcome, but children younger than 8 must be with an adult. No registration is required.

Science Geeks meet monthly at 4:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month. There is a different science, technology, engineering or math theme each month. This is for ages 8-12.

There are no Story Time activities planned the first week of April.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, original pieces of poetry will be accepted April 1-20 for a poetry contest. Submitted poetry must be: an original creation of the submitter; typewritten; a single entry, no more than 40 lines in length, from each entrant; never previously published. Poems will be judged on thoughtfulness, grammar, tone, creativity, style, and appearance. Call the library for more information. Winners will be announced April 30.
