The former long-time Newell building in Galion has a new tenant.

Joe Fraley, an employee of Edgar Trent Constriction, confirmed this week that the Crestline business has bought the 1301 Freese Works Place building.

“We should be moved in a few weeks and be open by the end of September,” he said.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Edgar Trent Construction, which opened in 1994, currently installs fiber optics for AEP.

“We needed more space,” Fraley said.

The Newell Building has an estimated 16,000 square feet, which the company plans to put to good use.

“We currently have 35 employees, but hope to have 500 in a few years,” he said.
