A Shelby man was cited after leaving the scene of crash Monday on State Route 91 south of the intersection of State Route 61 and Hook Road.
Police said Brian Rust, 30, of Shelby, was driving a silver 2006 Chevrolet HHR and traveled northwest off the roadway, struck an embankment and power pole and flipped twice.
According to reports, Rust fled the scene on foot and was later located with minor injuries
Rust was issued a traffic citation for reckless operation, driving under a suspended license and for leaving the scene of an accident.
The crash remains under investigation and the vehicle, which sustained severe front end damage was towed by Ronk’s Towing Service.
Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Departments and Life Support Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
