Lady Knights handle Bucyrus in Bucyrus to remain unbeaten

GALION — The Northmor Lady Golden Knights hosted the Bucyrus Lady Redmen on Monday night in non-conference action.

Northmor defeated Bucyrus in four sets to remain unbeaten; 21-25, 25-18, 25-20 and 25-20. The win moves the Knights to 12-0 on the year and they remain 6-0 in the Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference.

Jordyn Zoll posted a big, all around game for the home team on Monday. Zoll was the primary ball handler, going 60/60 setting en route to 19 assists. Zoll was also a perfect 14/14 serving and recorded three kills on offense while racking up seven digs and two blocks on defense.

Other offensive stats for Northmor were: Caitlin Thebeault- 18/19 hitting for 13 kills, 11 assists, serving ace; Hope Miracle- 24/24 hitting for 10 kills; serving ace; Leslie Brubaker- 16/18 hitting for 8 kills; Kelsie Fike- 10/10 serving, 2 aces, 5 kills; Lily Tate- serving ace and Cristianna Boggs- serving ace.

Defensively for the Lady Golden Knights, it was the usual suspects coming up big in the victory. Brubaker led the way with 6 blocks while Thebeault and Miracle added three blocks apiece. Cristianna Boggs had a busy night on the defensive side of the net for Northmor, digging out 30 total Bucyrus attacks.

Other defensive stats for Northmor were: Tate- 10 digs; Aly Blunk- 9 digs; Miracle- 6 digs and Fike- 4 digs.

The Lady Golden Knights will look to remain undefeated with a pair of KMAC games this week. On Tuesday evening, Northmor will play host to the Lady Fighting Scots of Highland. A road trip to Fredericktown for a meeting with the Lady Freddies awaits the Knights on Thursday.
