GALION POLICE REPORTS

Wednesday

1:10 a.m. — Officers cited two men for disorderly conduct after responding to a fight in the parking lot of Moto Mart, 604 Harding Way East.

5:26 a.m. — Police officers were unable to find the cause of an odor complaint in the 300 block of North East Street. A caller said it was a “really bad death smell .. like a dead carcass.

6:41 a.m. — A caller complained of a dog running loose in the area of South Market Street and Southern Avenue in Galion.

10:18 a.m. — A caller to 911 said there were some “juveniles” trying to get into a house on Second Avenue.

10:52 a.m. — A Bible and case were reported found in the 300 block of North Columbus Street.

10:59 a.m. — A misdemeanor warrant was served and an arrested made in the 100 block of South Riblet Street.

11:43 a.m. — A residents was reported broken into in the 400 block of Libby Lane.

12:48 p.m. — An argument over a haircut escalated into a domestic dispute in the 500 block of Galion Arms Court and police were called to intervene.

5:35 p.m. — An arrest was made based on a Mansfield warrant in the 100 block of West Railroad Street.

6:57 p.m. — A caller in the 100 block of Tuxedo Alley told police his daughter’s bake had been stolen. The bike was later located in the 900 block of Harding Way East.

7:29 p.m. — A caller on First Avenue reported someone had spray-painted a rabbit cage and the rabbit that was inside the cage.

7:57 p.m. — A resident in the 200 block of Eighth Avenue reported a pig running loose in his yard. The animal’s owner captured the pig before police arrived.

8:14 p.m. — Police responded to a domestic squabble in the 300 block of Fairview Avenue.

8:23 p.m. — A resident called police from the 600 block of Grove Avenue to reported a child had been assaulted earlier in the day.

8:31 a.m. — A mixed breed dog was reported running loose in the 100 block of Eighth Avenue. The animal avoided detection by police in the area.

Thursday

12:38 a.m. — A report of suspicious activity at Rich Oil on South Market Street was reported.

5:06 a.m. — A High Street resident reported hearing someone outside a window. Officers could not find out what was heard.

1:17 p.m. — A report of a phone being hacked and a ransom demanded to correct the problem was received from a Summit Street resident.

3:15 p.m. — After getting a report of someone in a home that should not be there, police issued a citation for driving under suspicion. Officers determined the person did have a right to remove property from the residence.

3:44 p.m. — A call was received about someone stealing money from an account at a local bank.

4:56 p.m. — A possible illegal drug transaction was reported in the South Street area. Police found the car involved in the alleged transaction and are continuing to investigate.

5:27 p.m. — A child was reportedly stuck with a “dirty needle” in the 100 block of Fortney Avenue.

6:25 p.m. — A caller in the 600 block of South Market Street told police “someone just came and stole my daughter’s camper out of the back yard.”

6:39 p.m. — A person sitting in a car in the 200 block of East Church Street reported someone came up and starting punching the vehicle.

8:49 p.m. — Police were unable to verify a report one a man being assaulted in the area of South Boston and Cherry streets.

9:43 p.m. — Police are investigating possible drug transactions on east side of town.

BUCYRUS POLICE CALLS

Tuesday

8:23 a.m. — Officers investigated a private property accident in the area of Bucyrus Plaza.

9:26 a.m. — Officers assisted Union County Sheriff’s Office in the 900 block of E Warren St.

1:39 p.m. — Officers assisted Life Support in the 100 block of Plymouth St.

1:47 p.m. — A domestic dispute was mediated in the 200 block of E Mary St.

1:58 p.m. — A three-vehicle accident was investigated in the 300 block of S Sandusky Ave.

2:06 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident was investigated in the area of Lane and Mansfield Sts.

5:37 p.m. — James Foster, 50, was arrested in the 400 block of W. Mansfield St. was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct.

5:55 p.m. — Officers investigated a 911 hang up call in the 300 block of W. Mary St.

6:35 p.m. — Officers assisted Union County Sheriff’s Office in the 500 block of Failor St.

8:49 p.m. — Officers assisted a person experiencing mental problems.

8:50 p.m. — A neighborhood dispute was investigated in the 600 block of W. Mansfield St.

9:00 p.m. — A 45-year-old was arrested on charges of open container in the 200 block of E. Warren St. He was issued a minor misdemeanor citation and released.

9:03 p.m. — Officers assisted with a tree that fell across the roadway at Mansfield and Highland Av.

11:19 p.m. — A report of suspicious activity around a building in the 300 block of W. Irving Street was investigated.

Wednesday

9:18 a.m. — Officers spoke to a few women at the Police Department about threats they are receiving.

9:37 a.m. — Officers checked the welfare of a man in the 600 block of Woodlawn Ave.

9:44 a.m. — A report of a vehicle striking the police garage near the recycling drop off in the 500 block of S. Sandusky was taken.

10:07 a.m. — Officers spoke to a resident in the 1700 block of Marion Rd. regarding harassment.

11:35 a.m. — Officers spoke to a man in the 1200 block of Willard St. regarding his dog.

12:08 p.m. — Officers assisted Life Support Team in the 100 block of Williams St. with an injured woman who fell.

3:20 p.m. — A report of a burglary was taken in the 1300 block of Willard St. and the K9 searched the area for property to no avail.

4:51 p.m. — Officers checked a report of a verbal disturbance in the area of Wayne Av.

5:12 p.m. — Officers assisted a person experiencing mental problems.

5:44 p.m. — A report of an unruly juvenile was made in the 200 block of W. Galen St.

6:00 p.m. — A theft report was taken in the area of Hopley and Washington St.

6:09 p.m. — A disturbance in the 200 block of N. Poplar St. was a verbal domestic argument.

6:18 p.m. — A report of two intoxicated subjects was investigated in the area of Mansfield and Iron St.

6:56 p.m. — A disturbance was investigated in the 200 block of Dudley St.

7:24 p.m. — A report of dogs barking in the 700 block of S. Spring St. was unfounded.

8:20 p.m. — Officer checked a report of a domestic dispute on W. Southern Av.

8:48 p.m. — A report of a suspicious person was investigated in the area of Bucyrus Plaza.

9:33 p.m. — A loud music complaint was made in the 500 block of Failor St. and the subjects notified lowered the sound.

10:08 p.m. — A Bucyrus resident came to the Police Department to report a robbery by someone he knows. Officers are investigating.

11:10 p.m. — A disturbance at Pinewood Apartments was investigated.
