Way to go Champs!

Galion’s 10U Little League all-star team arrived home this afternoon to a throng of fans, friends and family

GALION — More  than 200 people showed up at Heise Park on Saturday to welcome home this community’s latest batch of champions.

Earlier today, Galion’s 10u Little League team won the state championship in Englewood with a 10-5 win over Tallmadge.

It completed a dominating 4-0 sprint through the state tournament for the locals.

Galion also was undefeated in winning the District 7 championship two weeks ago to secure their berth at the state level.

The champs arrived home in style.

Their entourage was led by the sirens of a Galion Police Department cruiser, several members of a local motorcycle gang joined the parade, followed by more than half a dozen vehicles filled with little leaguers with their hands and arms and heads hanging out windows and poking out sunroofs as friends, family and fans cheered then on.

Members of Galion Graders showed up to applaud the championship effort.

A Galion Fire Department truck trailed the locals but also served as a perfect place to pose for photos.

Congrats Galion!

Great job!

Your community is proud of you!
