BUCYRUS — Butch Pangallo and his wife Robin are gearing up for the GRACE (Give Recovery A Chance Everyday) event that will be held at the bowling alley Butch manages in Bucyrus on Saturday.

The event will begin at noon with a Walk for Addiction that will begin at Suburban Lanes, 975 Hopley Ave., Bucyrus, move through the downtown area and back to the bowling alley.

“Then we will enjoy live music and bowling at Suburban Lanes. Guest speakers will be sharing their experiences with addiction. The Honorable Jeff Reese, Chief David Koepke, Judges Sean and Shane Leuthold, Margie Maddox, Ken Fraser and Robin will be among the many speakers who will share their insight and experiences.,” said Butch.

Butch said the event is unique and the first for Crawford County.

“This will be an effort to get help to local addicts who need it. Many rehab centers will be donating free scholarships in the form of 30 day rehab programs for our locals. These scholarships are worth up to $30,000 each if paid for by insurance,” Butch said.

Ken Fraser has worked on the event with the Pangallo’s and is the Director of Community Outreach at Beachside Rehab in Florida.

“Our goal is to raise awareness of the help that is available for addicts and alcoholics. We also want to raise money for those less fortunate that need treatment,” said Fraser.

Butch said administrators for Beachside Rehab will be on hand to get the recovery process started.

“The event will offer live entertainment, raffles, 50/50 drawings, a silent auction, and of course, open bowling, food and fun. Any and all donations of products, goods, coupons, and/or cash would be greatly appreciated to ensure the success of our benefit. I would like to thank you in advance for your help and cooperation. Please help us to help others,” Butch said.

Some of the entertainment includes Frank D Medley, Tiddy, Outpatient 5, Electric Cat Alarm Clock, Bridge Construction, ZZ3, and world-renowned Christian Rock and Blues Artist Glenn Kaiser.

“We will also have a silent auction for a Custom Refinished Guitar, courtesy of Galion local, Kevin Stamper,” Butch said. “Please make some time in your schedule to attend this worthwhile and much needed event. Thanks to Beachside Rehab and all the other centers for donating the rehab scholarships.”
