GALION — Galion City Schools will have fall parent/teacher conferences Nov. 8 and Nov. 10.

As a result, students in grades preschool through 12 will be re leased from classes early Nov. 10.

Middle and high School students will be released at 11 a.m., while primary and intermediate school students will be released at noon.

Lunches will not be served to students Nov. 10, and there is no school for students Nov. 11.

Conferences for students in grades 6-12 will be scheduled every 15 minutes and parents are not required to come, but their presence is encouraged.

The middle school and high school will follow this schedule:

Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 3-7 p.m. (parent/teacher conferences).

Thursday, Nov. 10 from noon to 7 p.m. (parent/teacher conferences).

The Primary School and Intermediate School will follow this schedule below.

Meetings will run every 15 to 20 minutes. Teachers will share the progress of the students, things they’ve been doing in the classroom and tips on how to support the student at home. Parents are encouraged to bring questions they may have regarding their child’s education.

Tuesday, Nov. 8, 4-8 p.m. (parent/teacher conferences).

Thursday, Nov. 10 1-8: p.m. (parent/teacher conferences).

“Conferences give parents a fantastic opportunity to communicate with the teacher about their child’s progress, ” said Superintendent James Grubbs, “as well as what can be done at home to help their child be successful in the classroom.”

Primary and Intermediate School parents wishing to participate are required to set up meeting times with their child’s teachers.

A confirmation letter was sent home with students. Those with questions should call the primary school office at 419-468-4010 or the intermediate school office at 419-468-3676. Middle school and high school parents interested in scheduling a meeting can do so by calling the high school office at 419-468 -6500, ext. 12008, or the middle school office at 419-468-3134.
