Colonel Crawford rallies in second half to beat Carey

NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford rallied in the fourth quarter to knock off Carey, 27-26 in an N10 game at Gary Field on Fiday evening.

The Eagles trailed 26-21 starting the fourth quarter but rallied to improve to 2-0 on the season. Carey falls to 0-2.

Colonel Crawford’s rushing game was the difference. Blake Treisch scored a touchdown and led the Eagles’ rushing attack with 118 yards on 25 carries. Trevor Shawber picked up 80 more yards on 10 carries and scored two touchdowns.

Hayden Bute scored the Eagles’ other touchdown. He was 2 for 5 passing for 51 yards, including a 43-yard-pass to Ethan Studer. He also rushed for 17 yards on five carries.

Spencer Mutcher got the other points for Colonel Crawford with a 26-yard field goal in the first quarter.

Carey amassed 333 yards of offense, including 201 on the ground, vs. 264 for the Eagles, with 213 yards coming via the ground game.
