Bonds set at $1 million in Galion meth case

BUCYRUS — Bond was set Monday for three people arrested last week in a drug bust on Jackson Road near Galion during arraignments in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.

Matthew J. Alley, 31, of Waverly, Ohio, and Natasha R. Dent, 22, and Joseph F. Murphy, 31, both of 420 Jackson Road, Galion, pleaded not guilty to one count each of the illegal manufacture of drugs, first-degree felonies. Alley is also facing one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, while Dent is facing one charge of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and Murphy is charged with one count of permitting drug abuse, also a fifth-degree felony.

Judge Sean Leuthold set Alley and Murphy’s bonds at $1 million while Dent is being held in jail on a $150,000 bond.

A total of 20 people facing 34 new charges were arraigned Monday including:

Angel S. Ortiz, 18, Texas, aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and felonious assault, a second-degree felony, bond set at $500,000.

John Yeater, 51, Galion, aggravated burglary, a second-degree felony, bond set at $500,000.

James Martin, 29, Galion, possession of drugs, a second-degree felony, bond set at $350,000.

Eddie J. Awbrey, 47, Bucyrus, possession of drugs, a second-degree felony, and permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony, bond set at $350,000.

Jeremy L. Lewis, 41, Bucyrus, failure to comply, a third-degree felony, and possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, bond set at $250,000.

Robert W. Posey III, 32, Bucyrus, domestic violence, fourth-degree felony, bond set at $100,000.

Joshua Blankenship, 38, Bucyrus, two counts of possession of drugs, fifth-degree felonies, bond set at $100,000.

Adam M. Gallegos, 23, Bucyrus, possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, bond set at $100,000.

Ryan J. Noe, 28, Crestline, receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony, and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, bond set at $25,000.

Jessica J. Sargent, 28, Crestline, two counts of possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies, and possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, bond set at $50,000.

Misty M. Owens, 37, Crestline, possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, bond set at $50,000.

Kathy Jo Mongold, 35, Bucyrus, burglary, a second-degree felony, bond set at $150,000.

Steven R. Kennedy, 48, Bucyrus, possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and falsification, a misdemeanor, bond set at $100,000.

Randy Lyn Hill, 49, Bucyrus, burglary, a second-degree felony, bond set at $250,000.

Michael A. Wood, 38, Marion, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fifth-degree felony, personal recognizance bond.

Jocelyn Wilson, 28, Richwood, theft, a fifth-degree felony, personal recognizance bond.

Brian Angles, criminal non-support, a fifth-degree felony, personal recognizance.

Six cases with eight new charges have yet to be served or arraigned and remain sealed.
