BUCYRUS — If you are headed to the Crawford County Fair today, this is Veterans and Senior Citizens Day, which means all veterans and seniors pay just $2 at the gate. And some special activities are planned for both groups.

Sheep Show judging started at 8 a.m., 4-Y Gymkana gets underway in the Horse Arena at 9 a.m., the Junior Fair Dairy Show starts at 10 a.m. and the District 9 Holstein Show begins at noon.

An event for senior citizens at the fair begins at 10:30 and runs to 1:30 and includes lunch. You need a ticket for this program sponsored by Heartland of Bucyrus.

The wood carver has three shows, at 1, 4 and 7 p.m. and Circus Incredible is planning shows at 2, 5 and 8 p.m.

The Junior Market Hog Show is at 5 p.m. and harness racing is back tonight for a second evening. The racking kicks off at 5:30 p.m.

Veterans will be treated to a ham and bean supper in the Youth Building from 5-7 p.m.

Friday activities include the Antique Tractor Parade and the always popular and noisy Ohio State Tractor Pullers Association Truck/Tractor Pull at 7 p.m.

Also on Friday, the Junior Fair Nerf War begins at 7 p.m. in the Youth Building.
