BUCYRUS —The Bucyrus United Methodist Church (BUMC) will sponsor its 8th Annual Back to School Supply Carnival and Information Fair to be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 on the campus of its Outreach Center at 216 Hopley Ave., Bucyrus. Free basic school supplies are offered to elementary age students of financially struggling area families.

One major facet of the annual event is the Information Fair with representatives from dozens of area non-profit organizations and agencies providing families free information about their services, along with custom games and prizes. Because of space limitations, commercial and professional businesses have previously been unable to participate.

While space is still a premium, carnival organizers are now offering commercial and professional businesses the opportunity to be involved by providing brochures, business information, discount cards, or free coupons. The items will be packaged in goody bags and distributed to families at registration.

For further information, or to make arrangements to participate, contact Randy Garrett at 419-562-0392. Deadline to sign on is July 17.

Bucyrus UMC is led by Pastors Mike Corwin and Becky Smithey. Everyone is welcome to Sunday worship services on at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and The Touch at 5 p.m. at the Worship Center, 227 S. Walnut, Bucyrus. The Worship Center and Outreach Center are handicapped accessible and air-conditioned; portions of the service may be signed. A staffed nursery is provided.
