MOVIE NIGHT —Individuals ages 12 and up are invited to watch a boxing-themed movie at 6 p.m. on July 5 at the Galion Public Library, 123 N. Market St. Refreshments will be served. Registration is requested. For the movie title and to reserve your spot, please visit the Galion Public Library or call 419-468-3203. Movie night will again be offered at 6 p.m. on July 19.

DROP-IN PAPERCRAFTING —Galion Public Library invites the public to join us from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, for Drop-In Papercrafting. Drop in for a little while or stay for the entire time. We will provide the tools and supplies needed for scrapbooking, cardmaking, quilling, origami and other paper crafts. All ages are welcome to attend and no registration is needed. If you have any questions, please visit the Galion Public Library or call 419-468-3203.

CRAFTS FOR KIDS —Drop in to the Children’s Room anytime the library is open and make crafts. New crafts will become available each Monday afternoon. This program runs from through July 30.

PRESCHOOL STORY TIME — The Preschool story time, “Caught a Fish Alive,” will be offered at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 4, and at 10:30 a.m. on July 5 and 6.

BALLOON SHOW — Tess Shimko will present the Team Read Balloon Show at 2 p..m. on July 6. Register at the children’s room desk starting the Thursday before the show.

Crestline Public Library

SPORTSTACULAR — The next Summer Reading Children’s program will be held at 10 a.m. on July 12. The kids, ages 0 to 10, will participate in a “Sportstacular” and watch a movie and make a craft.

GAMES ON THE BIG SCREEN — The Crestline Public Library will show “Games on the Big Screen” at 6 p.m. on July 14. The teens will watch a movie and have a snack. Sign up is required.

WHEELIES PARADE — Calling all kids, ages 0 to 10, to the Crestline Library “Wheelies Parade” at 10 a.m. on July 19. Decorate and bring your bike, wagon, stroller or other kid vehicle, to parade around the block.

HEALTHY MEALS PRESENTATION — County Extension agent Becky Guinther will present the program, “Healthy Meal,” at 6:30 p.m. on July 11. There will be free give away items. Call 419-683-3909 to sign up.

ZENTANGLE — The Crestline Public Library will present a program on basic Zentangle at 6:30 p.m. on July 12. “Zentangle” is a form of meditative art. The Zentangle method turns drawings into artistic designs, while reducing stress and improving focus. This relaxing process can be done anywhere, and no artistic talent is needed. Developed by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, the traditional Zentangle method is a ritual to help get in touch with life while creating beautiful art. Zentangle is used as a learning skill for school children, as stress reduction for adults and it helps develop dexterity. Please call the library to sign up.

HANDS ONLY CPR — The American Red Cross will teach “Hands Only CPR” at 5:30 p.m. on on July 13. This method of CPR does not require placing the mouth on the person needing resuscitated. Please call the library to sign up for this program at 419-683-3909.

TEEN/ADULT DANCE — The Crestline Public Library will host a teen/adult dance at 6:30 p.m. on July 18 to the tunes of DJ Justin Carroll. Exercise through dancing can be a fun way to burn calories! Call the library to sign up.

LIFE HACKS — At 6:30 p.m. on July 19, the library will present “Life Hacks”. Life hacks are easier, simpler, innovative and creative ways to make life easier. Call the library to sign up. This date is a change from the original date.

MUFFINS AND MEDICARE — The next “Muffins and Medicare” presented by Parr Insurance will be held at 10 a.m. on July 20 at the Crestline Public Library. Eric Parr and associates will answer all Medicare questions and educate participants on the many choices available. This is a free service and nothing will be sold.

The Crestline Public Library has a new addition: the Art Cart. The Art Cart may be checked out and used in the library. There are adult and children coloring books, supplies, items to craft with and have fun. Children ages 2 to 12 may check out the cart under the direct supervision of an adult. (Courtesy Photo)
