Galion Police

May 23

2:29 a.m.-A report of a suspicious person in the 800 block of Harding Way West was investigated.

11:45 a.m.-An injury accident was investigated on Portland Way North.

1:34 p.m.-Brad Tanner was issued a citation for driving under suspension and fictitious tags. He was held for pick up by his probation officer.

5:09 p.m.-A non-injury accident was investigated in the 100 block of Easton Way.

5:21 p.m.-A report of a suspicious person in the Galion Arms area led to the arrest of Travis Carmel for warrants, drug abuse and obstructing official business.

9:30 p.m.-A report of an unruly juvenile in the 700 block of East Church Street was investigated.

9:39 p.m.-A citation for speeding was issued to Matthew Sickmiller on Portland Way North.

10:10 p.m.-A report of a theft was investigated in the 100 block of South Boston Street.

Arrests

May 16

10:30 a.m.-Steven K. Hildebrand, 25, Galion, was arrested for telecommunications harassment.

May 17

12:31 a.m.-Zachariah Zacharzuk, 21, Galion, was arrested for possession of drugs-heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments.

May 18

11:42 a.m.-Miranda S. Olmstead, 26, Galion, was arrested for obstruction of justice-harboring, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

May 21

Tony C. Jenkins II, 25, Marion, was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence, driving under suspension and failure to stop at a stop sign.

12:10 p.m.-Gary L. Fox, 43, Galion, was arrested for theft without consent.

Bucyrus Police

May 23

11:35am A resident in the 800 block of Wilbur Street reported a Chicago Bulls hat stolen.

2:30pm A report of kids playing by the roadway on West Warren Street was investigated. They were on the sidewalk and were being watched by a parent.

3:45pm Officers checked the area of Beverly Drive and Wilbur Street after receiving a report of a juvenile on a go-cart in the area.

5:49pm A resident in the 200 block of West Charles Street reported a chair stolen from his front porch. It was located in a neighbor’s backyard.

6:06pm Rebecca Blankenship, 19, was arrested on a Crawford County warrant. She was issued a court date and released.

6:24pm A report of suspicious activity at Bucyrus Plaza was investigated.

7:46pm A disturbance between two individuals in the parking lot of Dollar General on Hopley Avenue was mediated.

8:46pm A traffic stop on Hopley Avenue resulted in the arrest of the driver for possession of drugs and a probation violation. The individual was taken to the Crawford County Jail.

9:51pm An alarm at the Kentucky Fried Chicken was investigated. A customer was accidentally locked inside when employees closed for the night. He was released and the building was re-secured.

11:34pm Officers responded to an alarm in the 1000 block of North Sandusky Avenue.

11:34pm A resident in the 1200 block of Teddy Avenue reported hearing noises outside her home. Officers checked the area and found nothing suspicious.

May 24

12:29am A male reported being followed by a subject in a vehicle in the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue. The vehicle was located and the subjects inside were sent on their way.

12:40am Officers assisted a male at Woodbine Apartments who was having neighborhood issues.

12:50am Officers assisted a State Trooper on Ohio 19.

12:57am A traffic stop near the intersection of West Charles Street and South Spring Street resulted in the arrest of Cody Walter, 20, for failure to comply and he was cited for driving under suspension. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for bond. A 16-year-old girl was arrested for curfew violation. She was released to her mother and will be contacted by juvenile court with a court date.

12:59am A report of a male taking landscaping rocks in the 700 block of Plymouth Street was investigated.

1:23am Officers assisted a male in the 300 block of East Irving Street having some personal issues.

1:54am Officers assisted a resident in the 400 block of East Mansfield Street with a bat in her home.

2:11am A report of barking dogs in the 300 block of West Center Street was checked and a warning left with the property owner.

2:51am A report of people arguing in the 200 block of East Irving Street was investigated. Jordan Noel, 22, was arrested for disorderly conduct. He was issued with a minor misdemeanor citation and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held until sober. James Shope Jr., 26, was arrested for possession of an open container of alcohol in public. He was released with a pending court appearance.

4:06am Officers on patrol checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at Little Caesar’s. It was found to be a contractor doing some work at the business.
