The EAA Chapter 148 is hosting All About Aviation Day at Galion Municipal Airport from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 21.
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is a community of pilots and aviation enthusiasts who protect and promote recreational flying. We work to preserve and extend the freedom of flight, and to knock down barriers to personal aviation. We are a community of engaged, passionate and diverse pilots and aviation enthusiasts who honor our veterans and strive to inspire and grow the next generation.
Along with a chance to meet and talk with pilots, flight instructors, and other aviation personnel about aviation, aircraft, drones from HYStite Technologies, Medflight 5, and equipment from American Powered Paragliders and RC Aircraft will be on display at the event.
Members from the Ohio State Patrol and recruiters from Ohio and Kent State Universities, Columbus Tech and tower personnel from the FAA will be at the event to talk with visitors.
Galion Air, Inc will be available with information on their Cessnas and Central Ohio Soaring Association and MidOhio Balloon Adventures of Mount Gilead have been invited.
The EAA Young Eagles flights will be offered for ages 8 to 17 with parental permission for the first 100 kids. Sign up for Young Eagles at 11:30 and flights are from noon to 2 p.m., weather permitting.
