Show choirs from schools in Crawford County and the surrounding area will come together to showcase their talents during the Crawford County Show Choir Showcase. The performances will begin at 7 p.m. in the Bucyrus Elementary School auditorium Friday. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

The event, which serves as a fundraiser for the Bucyrus Players, is an opportunity for performers to experience the talents and abilities of their counterparts from neighboring schools. Tickets for the showcase are $5 each and are only available at the door the evening of the event.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for the show choir groups to come together and learn from one another,” Bucyrus Director of Choirs Kaitlyn Fourman said. “We continue to host this event because it shines a positive light on the great musical programs in Crawford County and the surrounding area.”

Schools confirmed to perform in the showcase April 29 include: Bucyrus High School Players, Bucyrus Middle School Vocal Motion, Colonel Crawford Vision Show Choir, Wynford Royal Singers and Seneca East Glitter Girls. The list of schools is expected to expand, and a final list will be announced prior to event.

“I’m excited that Ms. Fourman is continuing this great event for our students and others in the area,” Superintendent Kevin Kimmel said. “Our district is committed to ensuring the arts are a part of the educational experience for current and future Bucyrus students.”
