BUCYRUS — June is Ohio Community Theatre Month, established by the state “to recognize the important contributions of community theatres to the quality of life of the citizens of the state.”

This weekend the Bucyrus Little Theatre will celebrate it by hosting representatives and actors from nearly a dozen community theatres in the region.

The Central Ohio Regional OCTAfest is June 13 and 14. The community theatres involved are members of the Ohio Community Theatre Association.

This event showcases local troupes as they present the best of the best from their seasons. This year, the BLT will perform an excerpt from “Of Mice and Men,” its most recent performance, on June 14 at 5:30 p.m.

Crawford Theatre Company will present an excerpt from “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” on June 13 at 9 p.m.
