Lots going on this summer at Galion library

GALION — There is plenty to do Galion Public Library through the summer, including:

SUMMER READING PROGRAM: Build a Better World – for children, teens, and adults. It run through July 29. You can sign up any time between those dates.

BLANKET TYING SERVICE PROJECT: Individuals of all ages are invited to drop in to the Children’s Room every Saturday this June and July to tie fleece blankets. Completed blankets will be donated to local nursing homes.

MAKE-IT TAKE-IT CRAFTS FOR KIDS: Drop in to the children’s room anytime the library is open, and make crafts. New crafts will become available each Monday afternoon through July 29th.

DANIEL BOONE: Join us June 26 at 6 p.m. as Living History Productions lecturer, author, and historian Ken Hammontree brings the legendary frontiersman to life. The event will be held on the library lawn, weather permitting. All ages are welcome. This event is free, but registration is required. Call or stop by the library to sign up.

SCIENCE GEEKS: We’ll have a different science, technology, engineering, or math theme each month. For ages 8-12. We meet at 4:30 p.m on the fourth Tuesday each month. Call or stop by the Children’s Room to sign up.

HEROES and VILLAINS FEST FOR TEENS: On June 29 at 6 p.m., Dress up as your favorite hero or villain and join us for games, fun, and a costume contest. For ages 11-18. Registration is required: call or stop by the library to sign up.

Crestline library will be busy this summer

CRESTLINE — Join is some fun events at Crestline Public Library this week, including:

ADULT CRAFT NIGHT:June 26 at 6 p,.m. This program is limited to 12 participants and those attending are asked to bring a glue gun and glue sticks, if possible. Adults will create a book wreath using old paperback books. Call the library to sign up 419-683-3909.

TEEN CRAFT NIGHT: June 26 at 6 p.m. Teens will create a T-shirt. Bring your own white t-shirt.

CHILDREN’S SUMMER PROGRAM: June 27 at 10 a.m. Kids will have an opportunity to choose from two crafts.

FINAL “BUILDING PERSONAL FINANCES” CLASS: June 27 at 6 p.m. Bridgette Trent of TLC Services will lead a discussion of Medicaid and talk about health care options.

Also, in July, patrons may participate in a Scavenger Hunt contest of architectural designs from places in Crestline. Stop in for the official entry form, rules, and photos for the hunt.
