COLUMBUS — After starting all 12 games of the regular season for Ohio State, quarterback Kyle McCord entered the transfer portal on Monday morning.

The 63rd season of racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will feature five major spectator events spread across 11 weeks in 2024. Next season’s schedule features the annual NTT IndyCar Series race weekend and the much anticipated return of Superbikes and IMSA sports car racing.

Ohio’s archery hunters have taken 51,360 white-tailed deer through Sunday, Nov. 5, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife. The average bow harvest through the first weekend of November over the past three years is 50,939 deer. Through the first seven weekends of 2022, hunters checked 48,577 deer.

COLUMBUS — The superlatives to describe Marvin Harrison Jr. are running thin as the spectacular junior receiver continues to run roughshod over nearly every defense he lines up against. On Saturday, Harrison posted his seventh 100-yard receiving game of the season while becoming the first player in Ohio State history to record consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons.

A strong defensive performance combined with some timely offensive strikes helped Northmor reach uncharted grounds in the OHSAA football playoffs.

A full repave project of the entire racing surface at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course was completed last week, officials from Green Savoree Racing Promotions, which owns and operates the track, announced today. Ohio-based Kokosing Construction Company, Inc. began initial repair work the week of Oct. 16, followed by milling the existing track surface on Monday, Oct. 23 and completing the paving of the final asphalt surface layer on Friday, Oct. 27.
