Varsity Boys Basketball Gallery: Galion defeats Ontario
In Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference play on Friday night, the Galion varsity boys basketball team traveled to Ontario and returned with a 66-53 victory over the Warriors. The Tigers are now 2-2 overall and 2-1 in conference action.
Ohio’s deer gun harvest close to past years
Ohio’s weeklong white-tailed deer gun hunting season concluded on Sunday, Dec. 3, with hunters taking 70,118 deer, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife. Last year, hunters took 71,931 deer during the gun week. The three-year average for deer harvest during the seven-day gun season is 71,322. An additional weekend of deer gun hunting will happen on Dec. 16-17.
Ohio State heading to Cotton Bowl, will take on Missouri
COLUMBUS — After finishing 11-1 but missing out on a spot in the final edition of the four-team College Football Playoff (CFP), No. 7 Ohio State will now head to Dallas, Texas on Dec. 29 to take on the Missouri Tigers in the 2023 Goodyear Cotton Bowl.
