NORTH ROBINSON — No. 1 Colonel Crawford advanced in the postseason with an 11-1 decision over No. 9 Buckeye Central in six innings. The Eagles (14-11) had plenty of offense and a nice showing on the mound from Brennan Hamilton to win a Division IV sectional title.

WAPAKONETA — Coming into the sectional title game against Wapakoneta, Galion knew they would need to execute small ball. The Redskins received a great performance on the mound from Taylor Echols to negate such a thing.

Northmor overcame a slow start to advance to the district semifinals in Division IV baseball on Wednesday.

MARION — Galion competed in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference track championships last week. The boys team walked away with a runner-up finish to champions Shelby, and the girls team was sixth out of eight teams.

GALION — A Galion senior softball player stepped up at the exact time her team needed her to in a Division III Northwest District sectional game against Western Reserve on May 9.

Ohio’s wild turkey hunters have checked a total of 12,755 birds through Sunday, May 7 during the 2023 spring hunting season, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife.

NORTH ROBINSON — A pair of big innings pushed Clear Fork on in the postseason and sent Colonel Crawford home in varsity softball action. The Colts used a five-run third inning and four-run sixth inning to blow past the Eagles, 12-5.

Northmor took advantage of Ridgedale wildness on the mound in easily topping the Rockets by a 14-0 margin in their first-round contest in the Division IV baseball playoffs.
