Eagles land on All-Northern 10 teams

All-league teams were recently announced for the Northern 10 Conference, and Colonel Crawford was well represented. Overall, five players from the baseball team and five players from the softball team made it.

Eagles beat Mohawk, advance to district final

GALION — The Eagles road a good performance from senior pitcher Brennan Hamilton to a district title appearance on Wednesday evening. Colonel Crawford defeated Mohawk (10-16) for the third time on the season, this time 4-2 in a Division IV district semifinal game.

Sanders excited about taking over Galion boys basketball program

GALION — When Tyler Sanders left Crestline, he had no idea he would end up as the head varsity boys basketball coach at Galion High School a short time later. Sanders stepped down from the same position with the Bulldogs in February when there was no need for a head coach at Galion.

Northmor baseball moves on to district finals

Tigers named to All-MOAC teams

GALION — Eight total Galion Tigers made the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference teams for baseball and softball. There were four baseball players and four softball players each for the Tigers.

Colonel Crawford girls’ track team had things working for another district title this past weekend. The Lady Eagles scored 138 to outpace second-place Seneca East’s 86.5.

Kael Longwell, Galion too much for Fostoria

GALION — Wednesday evening was Kael Longwell’s night on the mound and even at the plate. The junior tossed a no-hitter and brought in the game-ending run in Galion’s 10-0 run rule effort over Fostoria in a sectional semifinal matchup.

Eagles heading back to districts

NORTH ROBINSON — No. 1 Colonel Crawford advanced in the postseason with an 11-1 decision over No. 9 Buckeye Central in six innings. The Eagles (14-11) had plenty of offense and a nice showing on the mound from Brennan Hamilton to win a Division IV sectional title.
