Golden Knights heavily represented on KMAC teams

GALION — Knox Morrow Athletic Conference announced their postseason awards for baseball. Northmor, who finished the season 17-8, landed seven athletes on the list.

Maxton Lower and Grant Bentley were name first team KMAC for their work done this spring. Lower carried a .482 average as the Golden Knights leadoff batter. Lower ripped three home runs as well, which was second in the league. Bentley was 5-3 on the pitcher’s mound, and struck out a total of 55 batters in 47 innings pitched. Bentley did work at the plate as well with a .456 batting average.

Griffin Workman, Andrew Armrose and Drew Hammond received the second team nod for the Golden Nights. Gavin Whited was honorable mention on the KMAC postseason list.

Mathew Kearns represented Northmor with the academic award.

Northmor graduated nine seniors from this team, who helped them win 35 games over the last two years.

Kaid Carpenter, Fredericktown, is the KMAC Player of the Year. Fredericktown’s Ryan Hathaway is the Coach of the Year.
