TIFFIN — It may have been cold on Saturday but that wouldn’t stop the cross country teams from Colonel Crawford High School from running in the regional meet at Hedges Boyer Park in Tiffin.

After both teams qualified last week at Amann’s Reservoir Park in Galion, the Eagles took to the course on Oct. 28 with hopes of moving on to the OHSAA State Cross Country Meet at the National Trail Raceway in Hebron on Saturday, Nov. 4.

Johnson won the race with a time of 15:48.91, edging out the runner-up, senior Brendon Siefker of Ottoville, who crossed the finish line in 15:55.80. Johnson and Siefker finished as the champion and runner-up, respectively, in last year’s Division III state meet.
