GALION — The Galion City School District has made the decision to temporarily close the gates at Carter Drive, next to East of Chicago Pizza, during the construction along Ohio 598. The closer will last approximately 60 days.

The district has experienced increased traffic volume through its campus, including from tractor trailers, which is causing damage to the asphalt and the curbs throughout the district’s campus.

The district expects to reopen the Carter Drive access gate at the completion of the construction period.
