Tigers’ tennis team improves to 4-1

ONTARIO — The Galion Tigers tennis team continues its impressive run and is now 4-1 on the season. This time the win came at the hands of the singles competitors, 3-2 over the Ontario Warriors.

Kayln Gimble was once again in action at first singles and won her match easily; 6-1, 6-1. With that victory, Gimble moves to a perfect 5-0 this season. At second singles, Katherine Talbott picked up a point for the Tigers picking up a decisive 6-0, 6-0 win to improve to 5-1 on the year. The third point for Galion came off of the racket of Jayln Oswald, now 5-3, with a 6-1, 6-4 victory.

The doubles teams for the Tigers were unable to pick up a point for the team on Monday. The first doubles team of Kiersten Gifford and Marissa Briench were defeated by a score of 6-0, 6-1. Danielle Schneider and Ellie Chandler were paired up in second doubles and lost 6-3, 6-3.
