A Galion man did not stay out of trouble long after being placed on five years of community control in November.

Thomas E. Kouns, 243 S. Market St., was sentenced to nine months in prison in Crawford County Community Control this week after he tested positive for a variety of opiates on Jan. 9.

On Nov.24, Kouns was placed on probation after pleading guilty to permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony.

Brian A. Auck, 35, Bucyrus, was sentenced to six months in the Crawford County Justice Center along with five years of community control after he pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs, both fourth-degree felonies, and one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

Auck is also required to successfully complete a drug and alcohol treatment program. His driver’s license is suspended for six months and he must pay a $2,500 fine.

Trisha M. Lewis, 22, Bucyrus, was in court this week for her initial appearance on probation violations.

She is accused of failing to comply with the requirements of her treatment program and testing positive two times for drugs or alcohol.

Lewis was placed on five years of community control on July 2, 2015, after pleading guilty to one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.

Judge Sean Leuthold set bond for Lewis in the amount of $150,000 and she is being held at the Crawford County Justice Center.
