BUCYRUS – Entry forms are now being taken for two popular contests held each year during the Bratwurst Festival.

The 2015 Bratwurst Festival Pigtail Contest will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13 on the Century Link Stage on West Rensselaer Street.

The contest is open to children ages 3 to 11 years of age. Entry forms should be filled out and mailed or delivered to Salon Ooh La-La, 116 W. Warren St., Bucyrus, OH 44820. Salon Ooh La-La is open Tuesday through Saturday.

Entry forms are available at the following locations: Salon Ooh La-La, The Styling Den, Creative Options, and Brandy’s Salon. Forms can also be printed off online from the Bratwurst Festival website. They must be turned in on or before Aug. 3 for a valid entry into the Pigtail Contest.

The Pretty Baby Contest will also be held on Thursday, the opening day of the festival. The Pretty Baby Contest entrance deadline date has been extended to July 31. Voting will begin at 3 p.m. on Aug. 1 through 6 p.m. on Aug. 12 at Hardee’s, 526 S. Sandusky Ave. One penny equals one vote but any denomination of money is accepted. The winners will be announced on the Century Link stage at 4 p.m. on Aug. 13.
