BUCYRUS – The Alpha Recovery 12-Step Program has been touted by Crawford County Common Pleas Judge Sean Leuthold as one of the most successful programs in the county at helping drug addicts recover.

The program has a 50 percent success rate and beginning last year, Bill Denton began holding an annual BBQ at Woodlawn United Methodist Church with the help of over 65 volunteers to benefit the program.

This year, Denton presented a check for $12,720 to Rev. Margie Maddox who founded the group several years ago with her husband, John.

The couple opened the Jericho House of Healing for women recovering from addiction last year and recently celebrated the graduation of the first resident of the home, Cassie Sayre, who now lives in Galion with her three young sons.

For more information about the program, call Margie Maddox at 419-689-1412 or visit www.alpha12step.com.
