Mansfield job fair to include more than 70 businesses

MANSFIELD — A collaborative effort spearheaded by the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce and Ohio Means Jobs Richland County will give local job seekers an opportunity to meet with local employee seekers at a Job Fair on Thursday, May 2.

The job fair is open to the public. It will run from noon to 5 p.m. on May 2 at the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, 890 W. Fourth St., Mansfield. More than 70 employers which are actively engaging in recruitment and hiring are expected to attend.

“Last year, this event was very well attended, and this year looks to be just as big” said Clint Knight, director of workforce development at the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development. “Every attending business is hiring, and we aim to help job seekers make the right connection. We hope everyone will help us spread the word and makes sure that no one misses out.”

There are no costs associated with this event for employers or job seekers.

The event will be held at the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center at 890 West 4th Street. Attendees should be prepared to talk with employers by dressing appropriately and bringing a current resume.

The event is also being supported by Catalyst Life Services, Richland Community Development Group, Ohio Opportunities with Disabilities, iHeart Media, Mansfield/Richland County Library, Goodwill, Regional Manufacturers Coalition, Madison Adult Career Center and Pioneer Career & Technology Center.
