Tiger tracksters competing Saturday at indoor meet in Akron

GALION — The Galion Tigers track and field team will be sending a total of five athletes to compete in the Ohio Association of Track-Cross Country Coaches (OATCCC) Indoor State Championship on Saturday March 4 in Akron.

For the boys team, Colin McCullough will be in action in the 60-meter high hurdles and the 400-meter dash. Brett May will be taking part in the weight throw and Takoda Crisman will compete in the high jump.

The girls squad will send Bri Streib to take part in the weight throw event and Marisa Gwinner will be in the long jump and high jump events. Gwiner currently owns the highest jump in Division II.

Competition will be taking place at the Stile Athletics Field House at the University of Akron and will begin at 3:30 p.m.
