Lady Knights place 5th in MOAC tournament

The Northmor girls bowling team placed fifth in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference tournament at Victory Lanes in Galion on Saturday.

The Galion girls and boys bowling club participated in the MOAC tournament for the first time.

The Lady Knights tallied 2,914 points, while Jonathan Alder won with 3,123 points with Marion Harding as the runner-up (3,113) and Fredericktown (3,095) in third . The Lady Tigers placed 11th with 2,380 points.

Chloe Meier was the top bowler for Northmor girls, placing ninth with a total of 470 points. Brittany Sterritt of Marion Harding came in first with 552 points and Galion Stevi Ness notched the top spot for the Lady Tigers with 432 points.

For the boys, Buckeye Valley won with 3,489 points, followed by runner-up Jonathan Alder (3,442) and Cardington (3,435) in third.

Northmor placed 10th with 2,754 points followed by Galion in 11th with 2,625.

Buckeye Valley’s Spencer Milligan was the top ranked bowler with 548 points. Andrew Yarnell was the top bowler for the Knights with 490 points for 16th place, while Dale Riddle notched the top spot for the Tigers with 434 points.
