The Bucyrus girls basketball team defeated Wynford 48-42 in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference play Tuesday night.
The Lady Redmen trailed the Lady Royals 24-19 at halftime.
Bucyrus shot 17 of 61 and made 10 of 16 free throws, while Wynford shot 17 of 44 and made 6 of 7 charity shots.
The Redmen defeated the Royals 29-18 in the second half.
Bucyrus had 39 rebounds and 17 turnovers, while Wynford had 27 rebounds and 23 turnovers.
Kelci Simms led the Redmen with a game high of 21 points, while Ashton Hawkins added eight points including two 3-pointers.
Gretchen Harris led with 13 points and four assists for the Royals, while Jade Stuckman had eight including two 3-pointers.
Bucyrus (4-6, 4-4 N10) will host to play non-c0nference foe Crestline on Saturday, while Wynford (4-7, 3-5 N10) will host to play Ridgedale in league play.
Buckeye Central Buckettes
The Buckeye Central girls basketball team bounced back from an early loss this week with a 63-39 non-conference victory over Plymouth.
The Buckettes made 25 shots and 5 of 6 free throws, while the Lady Big Red made 17 shots and 4 of 4 charity shots.
Jenna Karl led Buckeye Central with a game high of 17 points, while Haley Green added 15.
For Plymouth, Emily Blanton and Arianna Marx led with 10 points each.
Buckeye Central lost to Mohawk 44-38 in league play Tuesday night.
The Buckettes’ record improves to 5-2 in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference and 6-4 overall.
Buckeye Central will host to play conference foe Seneca East on Saturday.
Colonel Crawford Eagles
The Colonel Crawford girls basketball team lost to conference leader Carey 68-40 Tuesday night.
The Lady Eagles’s record drops 2-6 in the conference and 5-8 overall.
Colonel Crawford will travel to play Mohawk in league play on Saturday.
