Two Ohioans Receive Honors at National Athletic Directors Conference

Ohioans Bruce Brown of Strasburg and Ray Ebersole of Hudson recently received award recognition from the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association during festivities at the 46th annual National Athletic Directors Conference sponsored jointly by the NFHS and the NIAAA.

Brown, Executive Director of the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, was one of eight individuals to receive a 2015 NFHS Citations Award on Dec. 14 for demonstrating outstanding service to interscholastic athletics at the local, state and national levels. State associations nominate athletic directors for NFHS Citations and the NFHS Board of Directors approves recipients.

Ebersole is the Athletic Director at Hudson High School. He is one of nine individuals to receive a 2015 Distinguished Service Award from the NIAAA on Dec. 15 in recognition of his length of service, special accomplishments and contributions to interscholastic athletics at the local, state and national levels. Nominations are submitted by state athletic directors associations, screened by the NIAAA Awards Committee and selected by the NIAAA Board of Directors.
