Buckeye Central Buckettes
The Buckeye Central girls basketball team lost in overtime in a non-conference game Tuesday evening.
The Buckettes lost to host Ashland Crestview 96-91. Renee Stimpert scored 54 points for the Cougars that evening.
Buckeye Central had a 39-37 lead by halftime but Crestview scored 30 points in the fourth quarter to tie the game. The Cougars had 14-9 run in overtime.
Buckeye Central (1-1, 1-0 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) will travel to play conference foe Upper Sandusky today.
Colonel Crawford Eagles
The Colonel Crawford girls basketball team lost its first home and conference game of the season Tuesday.
The Lady Eagles (2-3, 0-1 N10) suffered 56-47 defeat from the Mohawk Warriors (1-2, 1-0).
Jada Klingenberger led Colonel Crawford with 16 points, while Lexi Hoepf added 13.
The Lady Warriors bounced back from halftime, scoring 31 points to the win the game, while the Eagles scored 19.
Colonel Crawford will travel to play Wynford in Northern 10 action today.
The Crestline girls basketball team lost to Loudonville 66-32 Thursday evening.
The Redbirds had 17-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Bulldogs (0-5) were unable to overcome 35-16 deficit at halftime.
Due to a scheduling conflict, Crestline will not play Buckeye Central today. It will host to play Central Christian on Dec. 8.
The Wynford girls basketball team cruised to 61-28 victory over Ridgedale as its conference opener Tuesday evening.
The Lady Royals (2-2, 1-0) shot 23 of 62 and made 15 of 23 free throws on top of 54 rebounds.
Jade Stuckman scored 15 points, while Gretchen Harris added 10 points and Sarah Ogden chipped in eight.
Wynford will travel to play conference opponent Colonel Crawford today.
Northmor lost at Elgin on Tuesday by a 51-39 margin. The Knights are now 2-2 overall and 1-1 in Mid Ohio Athletic Conference action.
The Lady Knights will travel to play Mount Gilead today.
