Galion 42, Harding 19

MARION — In week five football action, the Galion Tigers loaded up the buses and headed to Marion to clash with the hosting Harding Presidents.

Despite a delay in action due to a power outage at the stadium, the game would march on and would end in favor of the visitors; 42-19. With the victory, Galion remains unbeaten in 2019, improving to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference. The Presidents fall to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference meetings.

Elsewhere in the MOAC on Friday: River Valley (4-1, 1-1) 20, Clear Fork (3-2, 0-1) 14; Shelby (4-1, 2-0) 54, Pleasant (3-2, 0-2) 33 and Norwalk 52, Ontario (2-3, 0-1) 7.

Galion will return to Unckrich Stadium in Heise Park in week six football action to host the Clear Fork Colts in their annual homecoming game.

Northmor 47, Mount Gilead 13

MOUNT GILEAD — On Friday night, the Northmor Golden Knights took their undefeated record on a short road trip to clash with the hosting Mount Gilead Indians.

Northmor would remain unbeaten as they trumped their hosts by a final tally of 47-13. The Golden Knights now sit at 5-0 overall on the season and are 2-0 in Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference play. Mount Gilead drops to 2-3 overall with the loss and are now 1-1 in league action.

Elsewhere in the KMAC on Friday: East Knox (5-0, 2-0) 69, Fredericktown (2-3, 0-2) 0; Highland (1-4, 1-1) 62, Cardington (1-4, 1-1) 20 and Centerburg (3-2, 1-1) 50, Danville (0-5, 0-2) 7.

The Golden Knights will host the East Knox Bulldogs in week six action, with one team leaving the field with their first loss of the season.

Wynford 56, Colonel Crawford 14

NORTH ROBINSON — The Colonel Crawford Eagles played hosts to the visiting Wynford Royals in week six football action on Friday.

Wynford would continue to own the rivalry, defeating the hosting Crawford squad by a final of 56-14. With the loss, the Eagles drop to 3-2 overall on the season and 1-1 in Northern-10 Athletic Conference contests. Wynford improves to 3-2 on the season and are now 2-0 in league meetings.

Colonel Crawford will travel to Sycamore for a meeting with the Mohawk Warriors on Friday, October 4.

Arlington 33, Crestline 0

ARLINGTON — Crestline’s football team headed to Arlington to meet up with the hosting Red Devils in Blanchard Valley Conference action.

Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, it would not be a fruitful trip as they were shutout by their hosts; 33-0. Crestline falls to 2-3 on the season with the loss and are now 1-2 in BVC matchups. Arlington improved to 3-2 with the win and sit at 1-2 in conference games.

Crestline returns home to Hutson Stadium for week six action as they play hosts to the Leipsic Vikings.
