Northmor spikers lose second straight contest

COLUMBUS — The Northmor Lady Golden Knights volleyball team continued their regular season ending road trip on Wednesday evening with a trip to Bishop Ready High School to meet up with the Lady Silver Knights.

After winning 17 of their first 18 matches on the season, Northmor dropped their second straight game to Ready in five sets; 20-25, 25-17, 17-25, 25-18, and 14-16. The Golden Knights are now 17-3 overall and remain at 11-2 in the Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference.

Serving statistics for Northmor were: Jordyn Zoll- 20/20; Cristianna Boggs- 17/18, 2 aces; Kelsie Fike- 19/19; Caitlin Thebeault and Lily Tate- an ace apiece.

Offensive stats for the Golden Knights were: Anna Donner- 42/48 hitting, 16 kills; Fike- 7 kills; Hope Miracle- 6 kills; Leslie Brubaker- 5 kills and Zoll- 23 assists.

Defensive statistics for the visitors were: Zoll- 9 digs, 5 blocks; Boggs- 11 digs; Donner- 7 digs; Thebeault- 7 digs; Miracle- 7 digs, 7 blocks; Aly Blunk- 7 digs and Brubaker- 6 blocks.

Just one regular season game remains for the Northmor Lady Golden Knights. The Lady Knights will be at Highland High School to do battle with the KMAC season champs, the Lady Fighting Scots.
