Galion Tigers 1, Clear Fork Colts 2

GALION — The Galion Tigers boys soccer team played host to Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference rival, the Clear Fork Colts on Wednesday.

Although Galion held the visitors to just two goals they managed just one themselves. Kyle Bauer put the ball in the back of the new off of an assist from Skyler Bishop for the Tigers’ only goal against the Colts.

Quinn Boland stopped 13 shots at goal and Stephen Thompson added an additional nine saves for the hometown Tigers.

“The team is evolving and improving on both sides of the ball. They’re not giving up as many opportunities and are combining better with their teammates when we do have possession,” says head coach John Stewart.

Galion looks to continue their evolution and improvement on Wednesday, September 27 on the road at Highland.

Galion Lady Tigers 0, St. Peter’s Lady Spartans 5

MANSFIELD — On Wednesday, the Lady Tigers soccer squad traveled to Mansfield to meet up in a non-league match against the St. Peter’s Lady Spartans.

Despite 22 saves in goal from Drucilla Singer, Galion was shutout in the contest; 5-0.

Galion looks to bounce back from the defeat on Monday, September 25 when they host Kingsway.
