Tigers can not be tamed on the links

OSTRANDER — On Thursday afternoon, the Galion Tigers golf squad took their undefeated season on the road to Ostrander and Mill Creek to clash with Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference foe, the North Union Wildcats.

Galion would load up still undefeated after defeating the Wildcats on their home course; 153-173. The Tigers are now 10-0 on the 2017 season.

Jack McElligott was once again at the top of the leader board for Galion, firing a one-under par 35 on the day. Matthew McMullen was right behind McElligott was an even par score of 36. Mitch Dyer turned in a 40 on the day and Spencer Keller rounded out the Galion scoring, shooting a 42. Kaleb Harsh and Matt Kingseed finished their nine-hole round shooting a score of 45 each.

The always busy Tigers golf squad will be playing at Twin Lakes for the Ontario Golf Invite today. On Saturday, Galion will head to Eagle Creek to participate in the Norwalk Invite. MOAC play will continue for Galion on Tuesday, September 12 when they travel to the Marion Country Club to take on the Presidents from Marion Harding.
