Former Crestline High School football players will take to the gridiron on Saturday.
The second annual alumni game is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. Saturday at the new stadium. Three teams of Bulldog alumni will battle for bragging rights this year and help raise funds for the football program.
Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students. End zone seating is available for $5. Fans must bring their own chairs for end zone seating. Children age 2 and younger will be admitted free.
Coach Kevin Sipes said his ballclub has two scrimmage dates planned. The Bulldogs will play host to Rittman and Fredericktown in a scrimmage at 10 a.m. on Aug. 15. Crestline will travel to South Central on Aug. 23 for a 6:30 p.m. match-up with the Trojans.
Crestline opens the regular season Aug. 28 with a home game against Mapleton. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Athletic director Todd Galownia said ticket prices for 2015 regular season home games will be $6 for adults and $5 for students.
Tigers intra-squad scrimmage Saturday
Galion High School’s varsity and junior varsity squads will hit the field Saturday for an intra-squad scrimmage and picnic at Heise Park. The scrimmage will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the picnic at 1 p.m. The picnic will be held at the Lions Pavilion located behind the Galion Community Center YMCA.
Galion will travel to Fredericktown on Aug. 12 for a scrimmage. It’s scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
The Tigers will play host to Centerburg and New London in a scrimmage on Aug. 15. It is also slated to start at 10 a.m.
Galion’s final preseason outing is a jamboree game Aug. 21 at Shelby. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
Bucyrus football tickets on sale
The Bucyrus Athletic Department is now selling reserved seating for the 2015 football season. Reserved seats can be purchased through the athletic office for $35 for one set of tickets for the entire season or $7 per seat. Passes can be purchased through the athletic office from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
