NEW WASHINGTON — Back on Tuesday, August 8, the Crestline Bulldogs golf squad traveled to New Washington’s Cranberry Hills Golf Course to compete in the annual Buckeye Central Invite.

The event, won by the squad from Galion, saw the Bulldogs earning ninth place with a team score of 481.

Quotes and notes from the coach

Crestline golf coach Steve Garberich mentioned the following in an email: “(Hunter) Trent received a medal for his performance at the Buckeye Central Invite. His 42 on the back nine at the event was the lowest nine-hole score of his career and the lowest by a Bulldog golfer in three seasons.” Garberich continues, “All of the golfers have been putting in a lot extra time practicing. They are all eager to learn and to get better. Golf is a very hard game to master and I am very proud of these six for the effort that they have shown thus far.”
