Cardington shuts down Northmor in MOAC baseball


GALION — Cardington beat Northmor on Friday, 2-1 in Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Blue Division action.

Combined, both teams managed just six hits on the day, with four belonging to the visiting Pirates. All six hits were singles.

Kyle Kegley was given the loss on the mound for Northmor. He went all seven innings, walked three batters and fanned eight.

Tyler Kegley and Conan Becker had the two singles for the Knights. Alijah Keen sacrificed in Northmor’s lone run. Mostyn Evans and Nate Hall both stole a base apiece for the contest.

On Monday May 1, Northmor will hit the road to face-off in non-league action against Worthington Christian.
