Lady Tigers remain undefeated on softball diamond

DELAWARE — The Galion Lady Tigers continued their hot start Wednesday with an 8-3 win over Buckeye Valley in their Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Red Division opener.

The Barons would plate their three runs on five hits but allowed Galion to run away with the game, committing four errors in the field. Galion would record nine hits and had just one error on defense.

Madelyn Thomas earned the victory for Galion, going six innings and striking out three. Gabby Kaple pitched the final inning, fanning two to secure the win.

Kaple came up big at the dish for the Lady Tigers, belting three hits for the game with an RBI. Nicole Thomas and Nevaeh Clark both contributed two hits and Clark plated two. Kate Schieber also had an RBI for Galion.

The Lady Tigers are 4-0 in 2017 and 1-0 in the MOAC Red.

Galion will travel to River Valley on Friday March 31 to meet up with the Lady Vikings. On Saturday April 1, the Lady Tigers will play a doubleheader at Willard against the Lady Crimson Flashes. The Prexies from Marion Harding will be in Galion on Monday April 3 to meet up with the Lady Tigers in MOAC action.
