Lady Bulldogs drop contest to Lady Indians

CRESTLINE — Fresh off their first win in nearly two years, the Crestline Lady Bulldogs were back on their home court again on Saturday afternoon to play host to the Mount Gilead Lady Indians. Unfortunately, the Lady ‘Dogs could not make it two-in-a-row and were defeated by Gilead, 46-37.

Crestline drops to 1-11 this season and remain at 1-4 in the Mid-Buckeye Conference. Mount Gilead improves to 3-10 overall and still sit winless in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Blue Division.

Mount Gilead would actually find themselves down at halftime, 19-18 to the Lady Bulldogs. However, the Lady Indians would outscore Crestline 13-6 in the third and 15-12 in the final quarter to lead to their nine-point victory.

Lauryn Tadda was once again the leading scorer of Crestline, dropping in 13 points while grabbing five rebounds. Alandra Tesso was also in double-figures with 10 points and three rebounds. Sarah Toy chipped in two-three pointers for six points while Lydia Tadda finished the game with four points. Brianna Briggs and Dennesa Baker finished up the Lady Bulldogs scoring with two points apiece.

The Indians had two scorers in double-figures for the contest. Baylee Hack poured in 23 points against Crestline and Madison Fitzpatrick had 11 points.

The Lady ‘Dogs will be busy this week. On Tuesday Jan. 10 they will travel to Danville to meet up with the Lady Blue Devils in MBC action. Crestline will be at home on Thursday Jan. 12 and will play host to another conference foe, the Loudonville Lady Redbirds.
