NORTH ROBINSON — The Colonel Crawford Lady Eagles continued their hot streak on Thursday night when they welcomed in Northern-10 Athletic Conference foe, the Ridgedale Lady Rockets. Crawford had no trouble with Ridgedale, picking up an easy win by a final score of 61-30.

Colonel Crawford is now 6-3 overall on the year and 4-2 in N-10 play while Ridgedale drops to 3-7 overall and remains winless in league play at 0-5.

The first quarter was kept close and indicated a possible close outcome as the Eagles took an 11-6 into the second period of play. However, the Rockets put up just six points again while the Eagles poured in an astonishing 32 points to take a 43-12 lead into the intermission. Both teams would score just 18 points apiece throughout the second half as the Lady Eagles breezed to their sixth win on the season.

The duo of Ashley Gwirtz and Alexus Burkhart would once again lead the way for head coach Kyle Fenner’s Eagles. Gwirtz had 16 points for the contest and Burkhart added 11 points.

Everyone was getting involved for Crawford against the Lady Rockets as Abbi Teglovic and Taylor Webster both contributed seven points apiece. Abbie Bradshaw would chime in with six points, Claire Ehmann and Danielle Horsley both chipped in five apiece. Kari Teglovic and Caitlin Koschnick joined in on the scoring barrage with two points each.

The Lady Eagles will be back at it next Wednesday when they host the Cardington Lady Pirates of the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Blue Division in non-league action.
