CRESTLINE — The Crestline Lady Bulldogs have now dropped their first six games of the 2016-2017 season after falling to the Lucas Lady Cubs on Thursday, 43-20. Crestline is now 0-3 in the Mid-Buckeye Conference on the year while Lucas improves to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the MBC.

The Lady Bulldogs went down early and couldn’t recover. After the end of one quarter of play, Crestline found themselves already in the hole by 10; 12-2. Not much changed by the halftime intermission as Lucas took a very commanding 21-6 into the second half where they would outscore Crestline 22-14 for the 43-20 victory.

As a team, the Bulldogs would shoot just 6/27 from the interior, 1/5 from three point land and a rough 5/22 from the free throw line. Those stats plus the 26 turnovers that Crestline committed put the game out of reach and left the Bulldogs winless.

Lauryn Tadda lead Crestline’s scoring with eight points on the night. Dennesa Baker added five, Sarah Toy chipped in three and Kennedy Moore and Alandra Tesso had two points apiece to round out the Bulldogs scoring.

Jessie Grover lead the Lady Cubs attack with 16 points on six made two point buckets and a perfect 4/4 from the charity stripe.

Crestline has a busy week ahead of them as they will travel to Ridgedale to meet up with the Rockets on Saturday Dec.17. Two days later, on Monday Dec.19, they will play host to the Mount Gilead Indians and then hit the road again on Tuesday Dec.20 to play St. Peter’s.
